Alleged LG-made 2015 Nexus outed
Since Apple has introduced their much-awaited iPhone 6s duo yesterday, the stage is set for Google to make the last major announcement in the mobile industry for this month.
Just like Apple outsourced the production of the iPhone 6s to Foxconn in China, Google is expected to introduce two smartphones — one from LG and the other one is going to be manufactured by Huawei. The LG-made device, termed Google Nexus 5X, has been pictured once again in a round of alleged leaked photographs from the facility where the device is being produced.
Compared with a photograph of the phone’s back that was posted here not long ago, it looks like this one is legit since both of them depict the same phone albeit different colors.
Interestingly here, the phone’s front side was displayed showing off a Motorola-like placement of two speakers on the two vertical sides of the screen. The side bezels surrounding the display are very minimal suggesting that LG might have used 2.5D architecture for the touchscreen glass.
Looking at the rear side, the camera still protrudes (even though it’s not as intense as the first picture); there’s a fingerprint sensor as well as a dual tone LED flash flanking the camera.
Google is expected to make the huge unveiling of the Nexus 5X as well as the 5.7″ device from Huawei on September 29. The software giant will also officially introduce and subsequently release Android 6.0 Marshmallow on that day.
