Apple India records only 20k iPhone 6/iPhone 6 Plus pre-orders in two days?
In India, reservations for Apple’s two new iPhones have kicked off since Tuesday. Industry sources revealed to BestMobs that the opening 48 hours were frustrating as Apple recorded only 20,000 pre-orders for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
Now, we don’t have any way to verify the legitimacy of the information but then, the official numbers should be out in no distant time. However, one doesn’t expect Apple to give out figures when sales are as bad as this.
In reality, the Cupertino tech company will likely play mute if the sales were really as bad as reported but will surely sound their triumphant drums like they did when the smartphones sold 10 million copies in 3 days, if the sales turned out good.
Elsewhere, Apple, in the space of one night, recorded 4 million pre-orders in 9 countries where the two iPhones were initially launched. The iOS8-powered smartphones went on further to receive 2 million reservations under 6 hours in China some weeks ago.
