Apple introduces water detection technology, compatible with iPhone 6, 6S and SE
When you are a proud owner of an Apple device, the last thing you would want to do is get the device wet. True, it wouldn’t hurt to get some amount of water splashed on the Apple watch but when it comes to owning premium devices such as the iPhone 6, an iPad or any other of such high end products churned out by the company, the last thing that would be on your mind is to get it near a body of water in the first place.
As much as you wouldn’t like to get water in though, it might happen that water finds a way to creep into your expensive piece of hardware and by the time you find out, you would have already had a huge chunk of repairs to do.
To save you from this kind of compromising situation, Apple has launched a new mechanism that would inform you when there is moisture in the lightning connector of your phone. Already introduced to the beta version of the iOS 10, this feature is expected to work perfectly on the iPhone 6s, 6s Plus and the iPhone SE.
This new update would be most suitable for people who live in cold and very humid regions because they run higher risk of getting mositure into their device in any other way asides from direct contact and instead of having this accumulate till the extent where it could cause some significant dmage, trust your iPhone to come to your rescue.
By projection, this feature would greatly reduce the amount spent on repairs of iPhone yearly, especially repairs relating to water issues.
