Apple iPhone 6s is 30 percent more popular than iPhone 6: T-Mobile
The Apple iPhone 6s is on its way to become the best-selling iPhone model ever made. Last year, the Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were able to rake in 4 million pre orders on their first night, shattering the records held by previous generations of iPhones in the process. Regardless of the huge success, Apple has announced that this year’s duo of iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus is currently beating the impressive record set by the 2014 iPhones.
Apple believes that much has changed since the iPhone 6.
While many people haven’t come to terms with the information — citing that the lack of any “major” improvement over last year’s models wouldn’t tempt many people into buying new iPhones — T-Mobile is one company that can testify to the sales numbers.
The ever active T-Mobile CEO John Legere announced on Twitter that the US carrier is seeing a 30% increase in pre orders over the previous year. “Customers are pumped to get the new #iPhone6s,” Legere tweeted.
The CEO also used the platform to woo customers to come and lease the iPhone 6s for as little as $5 per month on T-Mobile. He also reaffirmed on the Friday release date of the Apple flagship.
Speaking of Friday, industry sources have told BestMobs that Apple’s smart timepiece, the Apple Watch, will go on sale for the first time via US carriers starting from this Weekend. Sprint and T-Mobile are two of the carriers who could start offering the smartwatch from their nationwide stores.
