Apple launches SIM-free variant of the iPhone 7 models
It is interesting to know that even after a few weeks from the official launch date, some of the models of the Apple iPhone 7 are on backorder. That has however not stopped the Cupertino based company from launching into the market the unlocked variant of the device which means that it doesn’t come with a SIM and as such would work on any of the networks of your choice.
This one also packs support for both CDMA and GSM networks so customers of Sprint need not worry about anything here.
For the iPhone 7 units, their own wait times are lesser than that of their bigger and improved Plus variants which means that were you to preorder a Jet Black colour variant of the newly introduced unlocked variants, the iPhone 7 Plus in this category would take some 6-8 weeks to get to you while the iPhone 7 would do better in just 3-5 weeks.
However, it is sad that you cannot choose a SIM-free device if you are buying through the Apple Upgrade programme because for now, you would still have to choose a carrier if you are going thorough that route.
