Apple to load 3GB RAM on iPhone X, iPhone 8 Plus, 2GB on iPhone 8
Ahead of the official launch of the Apple’s flagship device, fresh reports have indicated that the tech company will be sticking to 2GB of RAM for the upcoming iPhone 8 while the other variants will be getting a RAM bump to 3GB.
Fresh reports indicate that the upcoming device which will be announced on Tuesday at an event expected to hold in California will bring about the unveiling of the three smartphones under the name iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.
The iPhone X, and iPhone 8 Plus are expected to debut with 3GB RAM under the hood while the iPhone 8 will stick to the previous memory configuration of 2GB RAM
The soon to be announced iPhone X will come to market with a 5.8-inch OLED display while the iPhone 8 Plus will boast of a 5.5-inch display both arriving with 3GB of RAM while the iPhone 8 which will sport a 4.7-inch screen will pack no more than 2GB of RAM.
Ming Chi-Kuo, the leak source however stated that the DRAM transfer speed on the upcoming devices will be faster than that of the iPhone 7 which was released last year by 10 – 15 percent.
