Apple Pay isn’t secure enough to hold your money — PayPal
PayPal, the biggest online payment system in the world, has officially joined the list of Apple bashers with an ad it released yesterday.
In a new ad posted on the New York Times Sept 15 Edition, PayPal quoted that WE THE PEOPLE WANT OUR MONEY SAFER THAN OUR SELFIES, citing Apple’s iCloud hack saga which saw a lot of users’ credentials posted on anonymous web forum 4chan thereby allowing people to break into the affected users’ accounts and steal their pictures and videos.
Apple Pay will definitely cause some storm at the bottom at least, and that’s what PayPal wants to squash — to stop that from ever happening; But with the way loyal customers follow Apple trends, it might be too late for PayPal.
Celebrities like Jessica Brown Findlay, actress Jenifer Lawrence and model Kate Upton had their accounts compromised and revealing pictures stolen in the iCloud saga. Meanwhile, a model, Joy Corrigan, 20, is suing Apple for having a “crappy security” after her not-meant-for-the-audience pictures were leaked in the attack.
