Asus said to be working on ZenFone Selfie handset
For some, 2015, no doubt, is the year of selfies because the amount of these portrait shots people are taking and uploading unto our social media is way off record. To help the craze, technology has provided selfie sticks. These sticks are used to get the pictures from very good angles but when it comes to quality, only a good front camera can save your photo not a selfie stick. And for this reason, many OEMs are investing in good frontal cameras.
Taiwan’s Asus is the latest phone maker to join the fray of big selfie cameras. According to a local news website in the East Asian country, an Asus ZenFone Selfie smartphone is on the way with a 13-megapixel front-facing snapper designed for capturing timeless selfies.
The Zenfone Selfie is said to be equipped with laser autofocus feature for the camera unit — including the back snapper which also has a 13MP sensor. The report also notes that the upcoming phone is designed with the template of the Asus Zenfone 2 in mind so there is a striking resemblance between the two handsets.
There’s no release date mentioned for the Selfie phone and no pictures came with the report, however, we hope to bring you the full gist once they are available.
