Asus Zenfone 2 Laser goes on sale in the United States
Asus released the Zenfone 2 Laser smartphone which is more updated compared to its Zenfone 2 predecessor. The new Zenfone 2 Laser smartphone brings a more updated and rather significant changes such as the inclusion of Laser autofocus to its 13MP rear-facing camera with dual tone LED flash for lighting and a 5MP front facing selfie camera on its 5.5-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with 1080p resolution.
Asus Zenfone 2 Laser smartphone runs on the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS underneath it’s Asus’ ZenUI and is equipped with 3GB of RAM, a 1.7 GHz Octa-core (Cortex-A53 CPU) Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chip with all four cores clocked at 1.0 GHz and also the PowerVR G6430 for Adreno 405.
The smartphone’s screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and is expected to be shatterproof and also anti-scratch. For connectivity, the smartphone is equipped with 4G LTE technology, Bluetooth 4.1 and has a dual-SIM functionality supported by the 3,000 mAh battery.
The smartphone comes in storage variants of 16GB and 32GB which is expected to be available at $199 for the former and $249 for the latter. The Zenfone 2 Laser will be available at Newegg and Asus’ stores as from November, and its availability in the Canadian market would be at $270 CDN.
