In the midst of an industry outcry for longer battery life in smartphones, Taiwanese phone maker Asus has introduced one with a massive 5,000mAh battery capacity.
Sporting a 5.5-inch HD touchscreen with Gorilla Glass 4 protection, the new Asus Zenfone Max dazzles with a design similar to the phone maker’s popular Zenfone 2 models. The handset runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Asus’ ZenUI customization.
Under the hood, you’ll find a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 chipset which provides support for several LTE bands on the device. There’s also 2GB of RAM and up to 16GB of inbuilt storage, further expandable via a 128GB microSD card slot.
The Zenfone Max will launch in October, along with its 13-megapixel rear camera with dual tone LED flash and font-facing 5-megapixel camera. The product will hit the shelves alongside the Asus Zenfone 2 Delux and Zenfone 2 Laser.
