Asus ZenWatch will hit India January 2015 for Rs 20,000
Asus’ new smartwatch which was launched in the United States recently for $199 may soon make it’s way into the Indian market as early as next month, January 2015.
The ZenWatch will arrive to battle grounds with the likes of high-end LG G Watch, Samsung Galaxy Gear and the Apple Watch which will also be launched there next year. The lowly-priced Spice Smart Pulse and other mostly unheard smart wearables existing in county are not left out.
Asked for the price of his company’s smartwatch, company regional head, Peter Chang explained, “It will be priced under Rs 20,000, though we are trying to bring the price down further. It will be competitively priced”
“We are still finalizing the launch and pricing of ZenWatch. It will work with Android phones and we expect to bring it to India in the beginning of next year.”
Asus currently sells it’s ZenPhone line of smartphones in India. The lineup has a record of 4″, 5″ and 6″ mobile phones which are called the Asus ZenPhone 4, ZenPhone 5 and ZenPhone 6 respectively.
