AT&T gets Marshmallow update over the Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge
AT&T has managed to take the users of their Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Note edge unit on quite a ride because even though the smartphone was launched sometimes very long ago, it still keeps getting the updates needed and it was not until recently that they just got their own bump to the Marshmallow platform.
Two companies are in this equation – Samsung and AT&T – and someone who has a track record with both companies would know that they are both reluctant when it comes to pushing out updates, and that has led to the one year wait that the Note 4 and Note Edge user had to endure before getting their own update.
Better late than never, there has been an improvement on the Marshmallow for these phablets and if you want to get pushed to the 6.0.1 platform too, you should have a data allocation of about 1.3GB and the new update also contains the security patch for the month of August.
From the carrier, it has also been confirmed that the changelog does not only include an Android M update with the usual features and a security patch alone but other interesting features such as Wi-Fi calling, Video Calling and Advanced Messaging.
