AT&T rolls out Marshmallow update to Galaxy S5 and S5 Active
Taking a look at the calendar, you would notice that it has been ten months since Google first rolled out the initial sets of the Android Marshmallow 6.0 updates and that makes the launch date of the Lollipop 5.0 even more distant to consider.
With the recent launch of the Android Nougat 7.0, it has made a lot of other things seem very distant and users would not be comfortable with the Lollipop in the age where some people are tasting the Nougat already. For this reason, OEMs are all scrambling to update their top devices to at least, the Marshmallow.
On this note, the Sprint version of Samsung’s Galaxy S5 and S5 Active have gotten their own Marshmallow bumps since as far back as April, T-Mobile and Verizon followed suit in April and now, AT&T has shown that they are not interested in leaving their own customers hanging by rolling out the update to the already now.
For the update weighing a massive 950MB, Galaxy S5 users would be able to access fie features such as Doze, Google Now on Tap, improved app permissions and all other nice things. Being the latest 6.0.1 package, you would also have access to 200+ emojis. With this update also comes the august security patch so there you are – safe, and on the Marshmallow.
