BB KEYone, possible to be announced at MWC later, leaks extensively
We have seen the launch of the BB DTEK50 already, and the DTEK60 is also on the market already. Sometimes late last year, we started to talk about a Blackberry Mercury unit, which would carry the flagship specs of what a true Blackberry phone is supposed to look like, complete with the physical keyboard package. Well the same unit has leaked as the DTEK70 sometimes after, and its trail just seemed to go cold. Well, up until now.
Given that MWC is here already, Blackberry is finally ready to introduce its new unit and now, we think we have the real name the device would launch under. Without wasting time on the formalities, we present to you the Blackberry KEYone.
This one is probably one of those devices that Blackberry themselves deigned before they started to contract the job to TCL, and it spoke of everything we knew about the original models from this OEM. With a 4.5 inch of display that has a resolution of 1620x1080p, the screen is maintained at an aspect ratio of 3:2 which is great for viewing pictures taken by the 12MP camera sensor on the back.
Under the hood is a QUALCOMM snapdragon 625 chipsets which is supported under the QuickCharge 3.0 programme. The battery can hold its own too at a decent rating of 3505mAh.
The keyboard on this unit is not your conventional typing pad, as it comes with integrated support for gestures. Think touchpad. The Blackberry Hub feature from the OS 10 platform has been retained while Android Nougat 7.1 is on board.
