Is this the beginning of a new HTC?
Earlier this month, HTC CEO and chairwoman, Cher Wang, told audience at the company’s quarterly earnings call about the coming of a new “hero” product scheduled to arrive this October. She failed to dish out details of the said hero device afterwards, leaving everybody to their own imaginations since then.
However, it looks like we’ve finally got a glimpse at the details of the hero product Wang was talking about. Serial leaker Evan Blass, known for his pointblank spoilers during his @evleaks days, tweeted that a phone named HTC Aero will be released in 2015 quarter 4. The tech expert was definitely referring to HTC’s “hero” phone.
What to expect?
While nothing has been disclosed of the HTC Aero officially or otherwise; what do you expect of a hero product if not a new beginning? We expect HTC to introduce something very unique and far/ Far away from their current flagship designs that has been termed as “boring.”
The Taiwanese phone maker can look up to Samsung who beat off the “cheap plastic” tag from their perimeter and introduced an all glass and metal Galaxy S6 not minding the device’s similarity with some competitors’ designs.
The HTC hero phone need not be overload with specs, even though it’s still an added advantage if it turns out to be. The company has to look at what’s selling best, conduct a few polls to know what their customers want, and shock the whole world with a great smartphone.
