This might be a bad news to BlackBerry software fans out there, why? The company plans only to release two or even one phone model this 2016 and will use Google Android Software.
Ontario the Canada based company merely plans to launch one brand new product potentially a second phone this 2016. Both phones will run Google’s Android software. The information was confirmed by the Chief Executive Officer John Chen during an interview in Las Vegas.
According to his comments, T-Mobile, Verison Wireless and Sprint will sell BlackBerrry Priv, company’s first phone model that runs Android. BlackBerry will still exist on the market but sadly won’t offer any new phones that will run BlackBerry 10 software. Instead use Google Mobile Software on their phones.
Chen refuses to make statement about the date of release and some details of the upcoming BlackBerry Phones this year.
Again for BlackBerry 10 fans will not worry as Chen has no plans of abandoning the said software. As this 2016 the company is more focused on developing security certification features for the Blackerry 10 so this device will become useful to corporate projects and government agencies. The company still continues to offer the classic version and the older devices but will not invest in new hardware.
