BlackBerry Z3 finally goes on sale, priced $190
It’s been a while since we last posted BlackBerry news on our site.
So, the BlackBerry Z3 was launched in Indonesia today rocking an impressive spec portfolio even though it’s dirt-cheap price tag impresses more.
The Z3 has a 5-inch display with 540 x 960 pixels resolution which results to a not-so-bad 220 PPI figure. The screen has 16 million colors by the way.
The phone is equipped with a microSD card slot if you think the 8GB native storage isn’t enough. It gets powered by 1.5GB of RAM and the all-powerful Snapdragon 400 processor with a Krait 200 CPU that runs at 1.2GHz.
Before we continue with the rest of the story, lets tell you that the BlackBerry Z3 is the offspring of the Canadians’ bond with the Chinese manufacturer who also makes all your iPhones and iPads, Foxconn. The deal will see Foxconn making cheap phones for BlackBerry while both parties share the profit 50-50.
The BlackBerry Z3, not to be confused with the BlackBerry Z30, rocks the BlackBerry 10.2.1 operating system. It features an HDMI port along the list of connectivities which includes 2G, 3G, NFC, Wireless LAN, Bluetooth and A-GPS.
Thanks to the BlackBerry 10 platform, BB Z3 will be able to side-load Android apps and can run JAVA (J2ME) applications and games without any problems.
The phone is available in Indonesia (with the rest of the world coming soon) at the price of $190 USD.
