BLU Products introduces $99 Android 5.0-powered Studio C smartphone
BLU is one of the phone makers who you probably never heard of but are not doing badly in terms of sales. The North American company just unleashed a $99 unlocked droid into the market, no jokes.
Packing a 5-inch IPS display with 720p resolution, the dual SIM BLU Studio C wouldn’t hurt your pocket if you are shopping for a smartphone on a tight budget. The smartphone runs on the latest Google Android OS, version 5.0 aka Lollipop, with BLU’s customized UI atop.
Under the hood, you’ll find a 1.3GHz quad-core CPU, a gig of RAM, expandable 8GB in-built storage and a MediaTek MT6582 SoC. Now, this MediaTek model is one of the most common chipsets around but inside a sub-$100 handset, this processor will get your tasks done with no complaints — as witnessed in few of our reviews.
Under the photography department, the Studio C houses an 8-megapixel camera equipped with LED flash and a secondary 2MP front-facing camera for taking selfie photographs. The handset itself is supplied current by a non-removable Li-Po battery cell with adequate 3000mAh capacity.
The smartphone is available only within the United States as the Amazon listing describes but if there’s any changes, we’ll make sure to let you know.
