China’s Doogee all set to join the smartwatch fray with ‘Keeper’
We have seen the Apple Watch. The likes of Samsung’s Gear S, LG G Watch and Moto 360 have all come (and gone?); now is time to make way for the Chinese as rising OEM Doogee, who was last seen releasing a couple of smartphones here and there, joins the wearable device industry with a product called the “Keeper.”
The Doogee Keeper is a smartwatch with IP68-certified water and dust resistance. According to Android Headlines, this beast of a watch is not only packing a micro SIM slot with phone calling functionality, it also features a Wi-Fi antenna, GPS, dedicated home button and a 5MP camera for taking pictures.
Inside, you’ll get a 600mAh energy cell which reportedly boasts of 5 to 7 days of battery life. The watch has 512MB of RAM and 4GB of built-in storage. In addition, a silicone strap band, aluminum casing and steel buckle all come together to keep the Keeper from falling apart.
We can’t give a particular time frame in regards to when the watch will be available. Let’s wait and see whether the Keeper will turn into reality or if these pictures were products of someone’s fiddle of imagination in combination of mad Photoshop skills.
