Doogee HomTom HT6 claims it can charge up 75% of its 6250mAh battery in 30 minutes
After the likes of Lenovo, Huawei, Meizu, Xiaomi and Gionee file out in the first tier, Doogee arguably ranks among the second tier of Chinese phone makers with strong international presence. The controversial OEM was in the news last time after it hit out at other phone makers, telling them to stop copying the design of the Apple iPhone brand.
Today, Doogee is back with a bang in a brand new chapter. This time, the Shenzhen-headquartered mobile outfit claims that its newest smartphone, the Doogee HomTom HT6, can attain about 75% battery charge in 30 minutes with its in-built PumpExpress Fast Charging Technology. Keep in mind that the smartphone in question has a battery with an alleged capacity of 6250mAh.
While it seems practically impossible for a normal charger with 5 volts electrical potential to deliver about 4687mAh (75 percent of 6250mAh) charge in less than an hour, we’d take Doogee’s word for what it is until we are able to get the smartphone in question to face our review tests.
In terms of other physical properties, the Doogee HomTom HT6 comes with a 5.5-inch HD touchscreen with 720p resolution and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. The smartphone’s engine ticks on a 64-bit MediaTek MT6735 chipset clubbed with 2GB RAM and expandable 16GB ROM. The handset also sports an 8-megapixel camera and 2-megapixel front facing secondary camera.
HomTom HT6 gets the mouth watery with its $139.99 pricing. Interestingly Doogee will release and subsequently start shipping orders for the smartphone on October 15.
