Elephone P9000 reportedly has no side bezels, comes with Android 6.0
When we did a review of Tecno’s overpriced Phantom 5 “flagship”, we made mention of the P8000, a neatly spec’d smartphone with a cool price tag. Apparently, Elephone, the company behind the P8000 hasn’t and doesn’t seem interested in stopping the roll out of cool smartphones from the Chinese OEM’s fables.
The company is rumored to be working on new smartphone that will give the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge and Galaxy S6 edge+ a run for their money. According to Androidheadlines, the P8000’s sucessor is coming with zero side bezels:
Our source has provided two renders of the P9000 handset, and as you can see, the phone looks really sleek. Its top and bottom bezels aren’t that thick, and there are no bezels on the sides. The capacitive home button is available below the display, and it seems like the device will sport a Type-C USB 3.0 as well. These images aren’t the only piece of info we’ve received though, our source has also shared some spec info as well. The Elephone P9000 will sport a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) slightly curved display (2.5D glass probably) along with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The phone will also offer a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and will ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow (this part we already knew). The 21-megapixel shooter will be available on the back of this phone, and an 8-megapixel snapper will be available up front. All of this will be powered by MediaTek’s Helio X10 (MT6795) 64-bit octa-core processor.
Among all that, the smartphone is expectedly going to be as affordable (although it might not be as affordable as its predecessor). So, tell us readers: The Elephone P9000, does it sound cool?
