Energizer launches a unique build of rugged, flagship material at MWC
MWC is surely where everyone comes out to play, and there is new OEM that wants to play in the smartphone market too now. Dubbed Energizer, this company has been known for the battery units that they manufacture but with a new showing at MWC, that is not the only thing they want to be known for. Releasing a rugged smartphone unit is the way to go, and they might just break even.
Called the Energizer E550LTE, the device is running on the MediaTek MT6755 chipset which packs a decent eight cores and 2GHz of maximum clock speed, all under the 5.5 inch of full HD screen. For now, isn’t that something from a newcomer?
Going further into the innards, the same handset carries a 4GB RAM allocation and has an internal storage space of 64GB. The camera sensors are more than decent, packing a dual 13MP and 8MP setup on the back and featuring an 8MP shooter on the front too. As if this is not enough surprise for a starter in the market, the Energizer smartphone has a fingerprint sensor and IP68 rating too for dust and water resistance.
In all, a 4000mAh battery would keep the lights on. Billed to go on sale this summer, you would need to shell out €449 (about $475) to get your hands on a personal unit.
