Galaxy Tab E starts getting Nougat update on Verizon, T-Mobile
Coming months after South Korean tech company, Samsung, revealed that the Galaxy Tab E will be a part of its device line-up to get the Android 7 Nougat OS, the tech company’s units of the device branded with the Verizon and T-Mobile carriers in the US has started getting the update push.
The Verizon and T-Mobile registered Galaxy Tab E tablets has started getting the OS update serving from the lover Android 6 Marshmallow OS.
The update comes after the tech company released a line up of devices which will be getting the latest Android 8.0 Oreo OS, although, the tablet will unfortunately not get the latest OS.
Verizon on its part has started the update rollout to the device, the Galaxy Tab E 8.0 and the Galaxy Tab E 9.6. The update brings along with it a refreshed Samsung user interface along with improved battery management options and efficiency. Also, the update comes with earsier multi-tasking options and an updated security patch.
The T-Mobile update comes for the Tab E 8.0 as the carrier does not have units of the Galaxy Tab E 9.6.
