Google announces official pricing for Pixel smartphones in India
The Pixel devices have just launched and Google has already let them go live for preorders in some regions while leaving out India where the preorder would be starting at a much later date, the 13th of October to be precise and exactly a week after that, the device is expected to start selling.
While the pricing for the units have been revealed elsewhere, there has been indications to what they would cost in the Indian market and this information is via Google themselves.
Writing in a blog post, they have stated that the smartphone units would be retailing for a starting price of INR 57,000 in the country, an equivalent of $855 and this would be for the base model of the ordinary Pixel. The bigger 128GB variant of this same Pixel would cost INR 66,000 instead and for the larger Pixel XL, the 32GB and 128GBvarinats would be priced at INR 67,000 and INR 76,000 respectively.
The smartphones would be available in colour variants of both Quite Black and Very Silver from retailers such as Flipkart and Chroma from the 20th of October.
