Google launches its very own set of devices – the Pixel and Pixel XL
For those that have fallen in love with the Nexus brand of devices over the years, it is now official that you have to say goodbye to those and welcome the new generation of Google devices that would be named Pixel instead. With the launch of two devices today, they have catered to the needs of both size preferences that we have in the market in terms of the 5 inch and 5.5 inch on the Pixel and Pixel XL respectively.
For both devices, they are both running on the QUALCOMM snapdragon 821 chipset and also comes out of the box with a better and even more stable Nougat 7.1, far better than the basic Nougat 7.0 that the LG V20 was boasting of. Both of them have a rear camera unit of 12MP and for internal storage space, they have the same variants of 32GB and 128BG for both the base models and their high-level variants respectively. While using 4GB of RAM on both smartphones, they have been branded on the back by the Google logo.
For these 2016 Pixels then, their preorders have already gone live in regions such as the UK, Canada, Australia and Germany and it is expected to go live in India for preorders also on the 13th of this month, setting actual sales date to exactly a week after the Indian preorders everywhere.
