Google Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL officially announced
Coming after weeks of leaks which surfaced online indicating the coming of the latest smartphones from Google, the Google Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2 XL, the tech company has finally pulled back the curtains on both premium device.
The Google Pixel which was manufactured by Taiwanese tech company, HTC, comes into the market running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and comes with a ton of new updates.
The Pixel 2 for specs packs a 5.0-inch display with the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top and an aluminum frame for finishing.
The Pixel 2 XL however went for a lager screen as it comes packing a 6.0-inch display with a screen resolution pegged at 1,440 x 2,880 pixels.
Under the hood, both smartphones opted for the 4GB of RAM with several onboard storage memory variants including 64GB ROM and 128GB ROM options.
For the optics, the Pixel 2 comes with a 12MP rear camera and an 8MP front mounted camera.
The Pixel 2 XL although produced by South Korean tech company, LG, comes with a sensitive edge as in the HTC U 11 which came with ‘Edge Sense’ technology.
Other connectivity options include a dual SIM setup comprising of one e-SIM and a nano SIM slot, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS and dual band Wi-Fi.
The Pixel 2 is powered by a 2,700mAh battery while the Pixel 2 XL comes with a bigger 3,520 mAh battery.
