Google Pixel 2 With Snapdragon 836 SoC To Launch October 5
Ahead of the official launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 device which has been revealed to be coming into the market packing improvements over several of the smartphones recently released by the tech company, another device is set to make its debut in the tech market courtesy of Google, the Google Pixel 2.
Recall that earlier leaks of the device had suggested that the tech company which recently released the Android 8.0 Oreo is planning on bringing the device with a 4.97-inch Full HD display along with a squeezable feature as found in the HTC U11 device.
The larger Pixel 2 XL will come packing a 5.99-inch QHD display but prior to today, the official release date has been a mirage.
Evan Blass, a reputable source however revealed earlier today that Google is planning a release of the 2017 edition of the Pixel smartphones come October 5.
The Tipster further revealed that the Pixel smartphones will come packing the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 chipset better than the 835 found on the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.
The Snapdragon 836 chip will bring major improvements over the Snapdragon 835 just like the Snapdragon 821 did over the Snapdragon 820 processor.
Google's second-generation Pixel handsets, powered by Snapdragon 836 SoC's, will be unveiled on October 5th.
