Google Pixel And Nexus Phones Will Reportedly Get Android 8.0 On August 21
There’s been much rumor regarding the expected release of Google’s latest OS, the Android 8.0 ‘O’, however, it is predictable that Google’s own product will be the first to run on the latest OS.
Recent report has however indicated that some previously released smartphones from the tech company may be getting the update earlier than previously speculated as fresh report indicates that Google may be planning to launch the OS on Google Pixel and Nexus devices.
The latest information comes following Google’s revelation of a new Android Open Source Project and ecosystem which will allow for a faster upgrade of OS for users all around the world.
VentureBeat’s Evan Blass reported that the Android 8.0 which may be dubbed Oreo could start rolling out to major smartphones and supported devices as from August 21, 2017.

The upcoming OS is expected to bring a whole lot of improvements and enhancements to devices including new features and the ability to update Android devices even when there’s no space left on the device.
It has also been confirmed that the Android 8.0 will be rolling out with support for the Bluetooth 5.0 technology.
