Google Set To Release Cheap ICE 2 Smartphone
Google is according to fresh reports planning to release an affordable smartphone into the Nigerian market come September, 2017.
According to reports, the smartphone, produced by Japanese OEM, Freetel, is dubbed the ICE 2 and will be available on sale for as low as N13,000.
The device which will pack 1GB of RAM with Dual Micro-SIM support is expected to come integrated with the Google Play Protect app which serves to protect data and apps on the smartphone.
It is expected to roll into the market running on the latest Android OS and a quad-core MediaTek MT6580 processor clocked at the speed of 1.2 GHz under the hood. For graphics, the device will be packing the ARM Mali 400 and 8GB ROM with support for mcroSD card expansion to as much as 32GB.
The 155 x 79 x 9 mm measuring device will also come into the market boasting of a 5.5-inch display layered with a 2.5D glass for protection and a battery capacity pegged at 2,800 mAh.
For the optics, the low-end device will pack a 5MP camera paired with LED flash on the rear panel and a 2MP camera on the front panel.
