Hello Moto: We’ve sold 2.5 million smartphones in India this year
Motorola India on Monday, delightfully announced crossing 2.5 million units in sales. Motorola phones are usually sold exclusively by India’s top-rated e-commerce platform, Flipkart. Flipkart is also responsible for handling all the sales of Xiaomi smartphones in the country.
Though the United States-headquartered company decline to break down the number by phones, it’s interesting to recall that Flipkart’s VP, Michael Adnani, announced in September that it has sold 1.6 million units Moto phones by then. So, what this latest announcement means is that Motorola has shipped about 900,000 smartphones between September and November.
The Motorola Moto G (2013) is the most pupular Moto device this year. The smartphone is available for order at Rs. 9,999 on Flipkart — roughly $162. The phone features a 4.5″ HD screen, 1GB of RAM, 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, 5MP/1.3MP camera unit and a 2070mAh battery unit.
