HTC A9 : Can this device REALLY keep HTC’s head above water?
HTC has been in a bit of financial rout and this is not unknown to many people, as it has become something of an open secret. When HTC then announced the launch of its new device, the HTC A9, it has been in the minds of many that this might be the messiah that HTC has been waiting for to dig them out of their financial pit. In light of recent events though, it is like this device would be part of the undertakers conducting the final burial rites on the HTC brand.
French carrier, Orange, has put up details of the new HTC flagship device on its websites and so far, what is seen looks kind of disappointing. Even more disappointing has to be the price tag that has been ascribed to this device given its specifications.
Having being earlier rumored and insulted to have stripped off the iPhone 6’s design for its own design features, and now that more images of the HTC A9 has been released, the device bound to be released in less than one week has lived up to the rumours.
Its like the tale of woes does not end on this device as although it impresses with the 5.0 inch screen that offers 1080p resolution, the camera is rather disappointing with a lower 13MP on the back and a front facing 4MP, somewhat unusual choice.
Combining these features, you wouldn’t expect the $688 price tag on the phone. Is HTC really trying to stay in business?
