HTC Butterfly 3 has a 5.1″ 2K display, 64-bit Snapdragon 810 chipset
Last year, we saw the arrival of HTC’s Butterfly 2 smartphone and right now it looks like the phone maker is release a sequel to the 5″ 1080p flagship. Interestingly, the successor is a major bump ahead if specs posted in an entry at CompuBench are to be trusted.
The mobile benchmarks site reportedly recorded footprints of a HTC J Butterfly HTV31 device on its servers and the said handset is likely to turn out as the HTC Butterfly 3.
A look at the document shows that the alleged Butterfly 3 is packing a 5.1-inch display with Quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixels) display and has a 20-megapixel main camera as well as a massive 13MP front-facing camera.
The handset is powered by the controversial Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 which is manning HTC’s flagship One M9 device. There’s also 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage and the visuals (thanks to the processor) is run by an Adreno 330 graphics card.
Despite all the information we have on the specs, there’s no word regarding the announcement or release date of the HTC Butterfly 3 for now but hey, we’ll keep you updated as events fold out.
