After HTC One A9, HTC to continue with iPhone lookalike smartphones
If you can’t beat the crowd, why not join them? HTC would have thought. It is no news that the HTC One A9 just launched and quickly, it has gone on to become a crowd favorite. This is not undue to the fact that the HTC which has been rumored would be a rip off of the Apple iPhone 6S‘ design really lived up to that rumor, meaning HTC is peddling an iPhone in Android casing.
Seeing the recent success of this device though, the head of operations of HTC in the Northern Asia region in person of Jack Tong has released statements pointing to the fact that HTC is willing to try out this device on its other devices, including the M-series and the mid-range Desire family.
Much blame cannot be accorded to HTC who have in no persuasive way defended their decision to use from the iPhone’s design. The company has, for its last fiscal quarter, posted a great revenue loss and also a drop in income from what was previously obtained to nearly more than half. Not only that. There has been high hopes on the HTC One A9 to be the company’s savior and the ways to make this “hero” appealing is to clothe it like an iPhone, apparently.
Not considering the body build, the HTC One A9 brings good specifications to the table that would even make it worthy to look at in the first place. The 5 inch device comes with the Android Marshmallow and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor, holding a 13MP camera also.
