HTC One M9 to debut in the US on April 10, no Google Edition this year
HTC’s latest flagship smartphone will be released in the United States Of America on 10th April, a before fellow Asian heavyweights Samsung unleash their Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge smartphones in the Land Of The Free.
Yesterday’s event in Seattle which we earlier told you about didn’t see the HTC One M9 Plus break cover, instead, HTC unveiled an “Uh-Oh” program which gets you a replacement for your HTC One M9 when the screen gets broken or device damaged by water during the first 12 months.
President of HTC Americas, Jason Mackenzie, who spear-headed the occasion, said that there won’t be any Google Play edition for this year’s HTC One unlike the two previous versions (M7 and M8).
In case you missed the announcement, the HTC One M9 is a 5″ 1080p touchscreen device. The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit duo quad-core CPU configuration inside a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, 128GB microSD card slot and sealed 2840mAh Li-Po battery. The handset uses a 20-megapixel main camera and 4MP UltraPixel secondary camera at the front.
