HTC One M9+ goes official in China with powerful MediaTek MT6795T chip
After weeks of anticipation and much drooling following series of leaks and rumors, the HTC One M9+ has finally gone official. Don’t get excited yet, the smartphone was exclusively made for China after the Taiwanese phone maker worked “closely” with Chinese carriers to optimize the handset for the country’s telephone frequencies.
Featuring a 5.2-inch Super LCD3 display, the smartphone scores 534 PPI following its 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution. There’s 3GB of RAM and 32GB of in-built storage under the hood and of course, MediaTek’s powerful “true octa-core” MT6795T processor embedded with a 2.2GHz-clocked CPU and PowerVR G6200 graphics card. The memory on the device can be further expanded using the 128GB microSD card slot.
At the back, the One M9+ houses a 20.7MP main shooter as well as a 2.1MP secondary rear shooter to provide “3D effects” on pictures — something which is popular with the HTC One (M8). The front of the smartphone is adorned by a 4MP selfie taker.
The HTC One M9+ also sports an NFC antenna. There’s a fingerprint sensor embedded under the home button and the chipset accounts for Cat. 9 LTE which offers speeds up to 150MB per second. The device has Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity while a non-removable 2840mAh battery powers the unit.
