HTC shows sign of growth with latest profit
For the first time since 2011, Taiwanese phone maker HTC has recorded a year-on-year growth in profit, the latest annual revenue figures from the company reveals.
During the October to December quarter, HTC recorded a revenue of TWD 47.87 billion, an 11% increase from the same period a year ago. The net profit came in at TWD 470 million ($14.7 million), a 51.6 YOY increase.
Its interesting to see HTC coming out from a streak of red bleeding to dotted green lines once again. The company’s Senior Global Online Communications Manager, Jeff Gordon, vented his excitement on Twitter where he said that “HTC’s 2015 roadmap will be our best ever.”
The top exec didn’t fail to mention that HTC has “some huge surprises that will blow you away.”
