Huawei Ascend Mate 2 goes through certification in China
Huaewi’s new smartphone has gone through approval processes in China’s federal electronics certification agency. We first told you of the phablet some two weeks ago.
The Huawei Ascend Mate 2 should be coming with a 6.1-inch 1080p IPS touchscreen display. It’s said to be powered by a HiSilicon Kirin910 processor, 1.6GHz-tuned Cortex-A9 CPU running on four cores, Mali 450 graphics engine and 2GB of RAM. The rest of the specs include a 16GB internal storage with space for up to 64GB memory cards. The Mate 2 runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system.
From what we gathered from the certification website, the phone comes as Huawei MT2-C00 on China Telecom and as Huawei MT2-U071 for China Unicom network operator. We expect Huawei Ascend Mate 2 to start selling before Christmas.
