Huawei Ascend P8 outed in metal/ceramic alloy body?
The rumors are quite early for a successor this time given it’s barely 6 months since the Huawei Ascend P7 broke cover. Given it’s the company’s line of flagships however, Huawei may be taking enough time to make sure it delivers the best quality it can get.
So, this is the first time we are seeing the Huawei Ascend P8 (we are not even 100 % this is legit). An article from Chinese blog, MyDrivers, had it that this smartphone’s cover is made from a metal aluminum alloy. The same source points at 2,999 CNY (less than $489) price for the device — that’s if it finally breaks cover.
Meanwhile, the only specs given for the phone is that it’s going to have a 5.2-inch 1080p display. There’s a high chance the screen will be covered in sapphire glass as Huawei is one big fan of sapphire technology. The company even made a limited edition of the P7 with sapphire display.
Huawei has promised to bring “shocking products” when their CEO was interviewed back in August and we hope this upcoming Ascend P8 will turn out to be one of them.
