Huawei Mate 9 gets price cut ahead of Mate 10 unveiling
Ahead of the official unveiling of the latest Huawei Mate 10 smartphone which is expected to be launched later in the day featuring the latest Huawei’s Kirin 970 processor, the predecessor to the Mate 10, Mate 9, has witnessed a price cut.
The Mate 9 which came into the market last year with impressive specs has decided to take a bow in terms of its price as the device with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage memory has witnessed as much as $30 price cut.
The 4GB RAM, 32GB ROM variant which sold for about $440 prior to the last hours before the release of the Mate 10 now goes for as low as $400 to $410.
The price cut seems to have affected Jingdong Mall the most as the retailer seems to be keen on clearing its stock of the Mate 9 in order to make room for the Mate 10 which is expected to be unveiled later today.
The 64GB ROM variant of the device which is available in the Moonlight Silver and Space Grey color variants is also selling on Amazon for about $450.
The 64GB version of the device for a quick recap comes into the market with the Amazon Alexa Assistant which is supported by only 2 major carriers including T-Mobile and AT&T.
For specs recap, the Huawei Mate 9 comes into the market with a 5.9-inch FHD display with the Kirin 960 processor running under the hood and a dual rear camera setup of 20MP and 12MP and an 8MP camera on the front panel all powered by a 4,000mAh battery.
