iDrop by Rihanna sold $66k on eBay
This’s the kind of story you would like to hear on a Sunday evening. Thanks to Rihanna, a policeman of the LAPD named Steve Sobo fetched a cool $66,500 on eBay for selling his iPhone which he did not cost him up to $800.
So it happened that the elderly policeman during an NBA basketball game, brought out his iPhone smartphone and asked the next person to him for a selfie (selfies are everywhere these days, you know?).
The person sitting next to him appeared to be R&B and pop star, Rihanna. Surprisingly, Rihanna agreed to take the selfie with him but the next thing that happened shocked everyone.
Rihanna, dropped the iPhone accidentally and the phone’s screen broke. To make up for it, she signed the iPhone and returned it to Sobo with an apology.
After the game, Steve Sobo signed on to popular retail site, eBay, held an auction for the signed iPhone and got $66,500 as the highest bid.
Good guy Steve: He donated the whole 66.5k to the Los Angeles Police Department where he works, and Rihanna herself also donated $25,000 too.
So fellas, start working on how to get a celebrity to break your phone, you might be on your way to smile to the back.
