Indian users can upgrade their 2013 Moto G to Android 5.0 Lollipop
The first Motorola Moto G is one of the most popular smartphones in India this year. Motorola even attested to crossing a milestone of 2.5 million smartphones sold in this country as at September 2014, with Moto G claiming a large chunk of the numbers.
To show up for that relevance, the American phone maker which was sold to Lenovo earlier this year is bringing Google’s latest Android software to it’s flagship. For now, customers in India can upgrade their Moto G Dual SIM (2013) to Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The update comes win a build name of 220.21.16.en.03. It brings Android Lollipop’s new Material Design which means a lot in the user interface. Other things like improved battery usage and general device performance are also included in the package.
