InFocus M260 announced with 4.5″ screen, 5MP camera for “basic” users
If you have been yearning for a device that is strictly for basic usage yet housing all the basic operating systems, operations and aesthetics of its high end counterparts at a pocket friendly price, the InFocus M260 might be your choice of device.
The InFocus M260 wrapped with a trendy dual-coloured plastic with matte finish runs an Android 5.1 Lollipop with the UI Life 2.0 skin on top of it. Its 4.5” FWVGA (480×854) display screen is powered by the MediaTek MT6582M Quad-core SoC clocked at the processor speed of 1.3GHz, with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of inbuilt storage space expandable via microSD card up to 32GB. It also spots a 5-mega pixel fixed focus rear facing camera which captures average quality images in proper lighting environments and a 2-mega pixel front facing camera. For graphics related tasks however, the smartphone packs an ARM Mali-400 GPU.
The InFocus M260 is capable of running and handling basic games, multiple web pages and running other basic tasks with ease. The device is powered by a 2,000mAh battery and with dual-SIM slot with the volume rockers and power buttons placed strategically on the right side.
In terms of pricing, InFocus has slapped the device with a rock-bottom Rs 3999 price tag which translates to just about $61 in US dollars. The handset is already on sale in authorized outlets in India.
