Jiayu F1 with $50 price launched
We told you about a $50 smartphone we’ll be selling this year. Well, good news is that the phone, Jiayu FI, has been announced; But bad news is, it’s the GSM/TD-SCDMA 3G version that’s out, and this version works with only China’s China Mobile and won’t be usable with your normal WCDMA network (assuming you don’t live in China).
It’s not so bad though, as the GSM/WCDMA model of the F1 is in the works by Jiayu, and we’ll let you know when it’s available. For now, see the specs of the Jiayu F1.
The Jiayu F1 carries a 4″ 480×800 touchscreen and is powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor, 512 MB of RAM and 2400mAh battery.
The smartphone has a 5 MP rear and VGA front camera, 4 GB of internal storage with microSD card support, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, an FM radio, and it runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
