Karbonn launches the cheapest smartphone in India
India-based phone producer Karbonn has launched an uber-cheap smartphone in the Asian country.
The Karbonn A50s goes for just INR 2,790 on Flipcart, and that’s only about $46 in US dollars or 7500 Nigerian naira. The phone features rock-bottom specs to justify it’s feather-light pricing.
There’s a 3.2″ screen with 320 x 480 pixels resolution. A meager 256MB of RAM, 1.2GHz dual-core CPU and 0.5GB of native storage is on the phone, though there’s a memory card slot for expanding the storage.
The A50s comes with a 2-megapixel camera and the price does not stop the user from enjoying a VGA front-facing camera and LED flash luxury.
Finally, the Karbonn A50s runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS and here’s how it stacks up against the other very best of rock-bottom-priced smartphones in India, thanks to BGR.
