Lenovo Cyanogen OS Now Open To All Brand
The end of Cyanogen’s Operating System’s sole out of the box OS now ends as it will be available on other device in India. As Lenovo claims to launch ZuK Z1, this time the device will feature Cyanogen’s operating system.
OnePlus, Cyanogen and Micromax went through a bumpy stage last 2015, when Cyanogen decided to give its exclusive rights only to Micromax an Indian device maker to its entire Yu-branded device. This happens when OnePlus started selling Smartphone’s with Cyanogen OS.
So Micromax launched its Yu branded smartphones. OnePlus then file a case resulted to company to develop its own Oxygen Operating System for all of its handsets just to keep selling devices in India.
Today, Lenovo has taken over the claims as Cyanogen Operating System will no longer be exclusive to Micromax phones in India. Lenovo’s Zuk Z1 will now feature Cyanogen Operating System similar to the type of software you will get with Yu-branded Smartphone’s from Micromax.
So it reveals that Micromax exclusive deal was only in the past. Now Cyanogen confirmed that software now is no longer exclusive to a single device maker, as a result Lenovo will launch ZUK series in India with Cyanogen Operating System
