Lenovo K3 Note Review
In the world of gadgets where companies like Samsung, Sony, etc. have marked their position up to impress the audience with their smart gadgets, there is also a brand like Lenovo, which has emerged impeccably and is continuously giving its successful gadget one after another. Lenovo is not so old like other companies, but since a few years, it has set landmarks with its marketed gadgets. Being Asian in nature, it deals in computer hardware and electronics. It was founded 31 years ago in 1984 by Liu Chuanzhi in Beijing, China. Today, it has left some irremovable marks in many nations; therefore, it has become a worldwide brand in the smartphones series.
Currently, the best model of Lenovo available in the market is Lenovo K3 Note. It was released on June, 25, 2015 in all over the world, but before it was already released in March in China. It is interesting to know that within a short span of time, it is listed as the best phone priced around $ 156.0 with the Octacore processor.
Externals: Design and Display
The new Lenovo K3 Note comes up with a 5.5-inch IPS LCD full HD multi-touch display. Because of its 5.5-inch screen, the phone becomes qualified as a phablet. It is sure that its display will be the first thing to have your eyes mesmerized. Even after having such a big size, its waistline is just 7.9mm with which it weighs around 150g. Apart from the waistline, the headset’s height is 152.60 mm and width is 76.20mm. The device is approximately 8.2% thinner than an average smartphone in the screen range of 5.1-5.5.
With the pixel density of 401PPI, the screen becomes 72% sharper than an average screen. With a screen resolution of 1,920*1,080 pixels, you can enjoy the high-quality pictures and videos in it. Adding a key to the display feature, it has an ambient light sensor, multi-touch and proximity sensors in it.
The Lenovo K3 Note has a very simple and ordinary design. The front part of the screen is completely flat. The device is rectangular and you can feel the edges with your finger. If addressed the back part, then it is made as simple and flat as the front part. The back has a plastic cover, which is white in color. The best thing about the back part is its matte cover, which won’t let you notice any fingerprints. And, it is available in pearl white, onyx, black, and laser yellow color.
Internals: Hardware and Software
The phone works on the Android version, which is probably the most popular platform in the market. The headset sails on Lenovo Vibe 2.5 UI with an operating system of Android v5.0 Lollipop. With Vibe 2.5 UI, you can enjoy the benefit of accessing Google’s latest apps. Its CPU works on 1.7GHz Octa-Core Cortex A-53 processor, which is completely based on 64-bit Media Tek MT6572 chipset.
To ensure seamless and powerful performance, it is paired with 2GB (2,048 MB) RAM and Mali T760MP2 GPU, which will boost its performance over most phones. Another feature, which adds here, is its 16 GB of internal storage, which is further expandable till 32GB via removable SD card.
This model of Lenovo gives space to 3,000 mAh Li-ion battery, which will surely serve you for 36 hours of talk-time and up to 750 hours of standby time of 3G. The battery technology is Li-polymer. If you encounter any problem, then you can also replace the battery.
Camera and Connectivity
The most noticed and checked feature in any smartphone i.e. the camera is built faultlessly into this device. The rear camera is of 13 megapixels with dual flash with which you can enjoy the benefit of high-quality photos. When it comes to clicking photos, you can also use the front camera of 5 megapixels, which is an average choice for selfies. The story doesn’t end here; the camera also gives space for video resolution of 1080p, which no doubt will help you in making definition videos with its primary camera.
To stay connected to the world outside, the device is impeccable in its connectivity feature. The phone supports both 3G and 4G, with which you can access to any website within the blink of an eye. To enhance the connectivity feature, the device has a Bluetooth version of 4.0, mobile tethering, and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac. The headphone connection is also available of 3.5mm. The phone has a dual SIM slot, where SIM-1 supports 4G, 3G and 2G and SIM-2 supports only 2G.
Lenovo entered the smartphone world a little late, but it did make sure that its devices are not treated as cheap replicas like other small budget phone developers. It promised quality specs at a reasonable price, which has greatly improved its sales in a number of countries. And it looks like the future of the Chinese company is fruitful as long as it stays on track and offers proficient devices. However, competition from other companies is surely going to be faced from time to time that might be an issue for it. Nonetheless, the organization looks forward to delivering decent specs in low and mid-range phones. It might aim for high-range devices in the future but that might take some time. Mostly, it depends on how well the launched phones are going to do in the smartphone market. For now, it can be said that Lenovo is not treated as a cheap quality company with low products. It has a strong fan base that is increasing with time.
Thus, within a few months, the phone has created a high fan following worldwide. The only problem that the user can face with this smartphone is the absence of Cornilla Gorilla Glass, but apart from this, all other features make it worth buying. If at such an easy payment of $156.35, you can get a smartphone with abundant and healthy features, then hardly you should wander to search for another smartphone.
