Lenovo sets 16th January (Friday) aside for A6000 launch in India
Did you drool when you saw the specs of Lenovo A6000 when it was announced at the CES last week? You aren’t alone. In fact, the phone maker is spreading the spanking new device to markets other than its China base this time around.
This Friday, at a special event billed to happen in New Delhi, Lenovo will launch the A6000 for the Indian tech market. Since the device had a price tag of $169 upon breaking cover, it is expected of Lenovo to to churn out a similarly reasonable Indian price for the device. Keep in mind the original pricing is INR 10565 using today’s exchange rates so the phone is possibly going to be offered at 10k rupees or lower.
In terms of hardware, the Lenovo A6000 features a 5″ HD screen, an 8MP camera and 2MP front-facer. The internals include 1GB of RAM, 8GB of built-in storage and a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8916 410 quad-core chipset. The smartphone runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat software. The handset will rally to compete with the likes of Xiaomi’s Redmi 1s and Micromax’s Yu Yureka who happen to fall in the same specs and price category as it.
