Lenovo to take the ZUI 2.5 – based on the Nougat – to ZUK Z2
It was just last week when we brought to your attention that Lenovo has plans to roll out their new software update to the units of the ZUK Z2 and ZUK Z2 Pro.
After they have made sure that the units of these devices have gotten their own bump to the ZUI 2.5 – which happens to be based on the Nougat – Lenovo is now planning to roll out the same software to lesser brands on the pecking order – the Z2.
This announcement was made at a special even that they held in china ad there, they even announced price cuts for some of their units. For example, Lenovo bought down the price of the Z2 Pro which packs a 6GB RAM with 128GB internal storage space by CNY600 and for the Z2, they cut the price by a subtle CNY400 too.
At this event, also, they officially made the ZUI 2.5 known to the public, and the good news here is that any device that gets it automatically gets pushed to the Nougat 7.0 likewise.
Asides from the natural features of the Nougat OS, this customised software also brings on board features such as custom lock screen and info cards for text messages.
