LeTv launches powerpacked and exceptionally cheap Le 1S smartphone
Chinese smartphone manufacturing outfit, LeTv, is out to prove that its no one-season wonder, or better still, three-season wonder, as the company has just launched its latest and fourth smartphone in the Le line of devices. Called the Le 1S, this device is certainly worthy to look at and deserves its own review.
The surface of the device is of a metal uni-body build that has a slim waistline given to it. Scratching this surface would reveal a MediaTek Helio X10 chipset as well as a processor that clocks at an amazing frequency of 2.2GHz. The CPU comes with 8 cores and scores at 3GB. With an internal memory of 32GB, LeTv feels you have all you need and as such there’s no option for user expansion.
There’s of course, a camera somewhere on this device. On the back of it is a 13MP camera equipped with a single flash while the front houses a 5MP camera for your selfie shootings.
The phone, running on Android 5.1.1, is exceptionally cheap at the launch price of (equivalently) $173 (initially for Indian and Chinese markets) and even at that, LeTv has said that they are selling the phone for below its build price at roughly $206.
