LG Class is official with 5″ HD display boxed in a metal body
As expected today, LG has taken the veils off the “Class” smartphone at the company’s home country, South Korea. The LG Class will go on sale immediately with a price tag of SKW 399,300 which approximately translates to $340 US dollars.
Spec-wise, the Android 5.1 Lollipop-running LG Class is boxed inside a metal body which measures 142 x 71.8 x 7.4 mm and tips the scale at 147 grams. For fast download and upload of data on the world wide web, the handset supports several 4G LTE frequencies and also packs support for 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, NFC, and micro-USB 2.0 connections as well.
The phone’s slightly curved display is designed with 2.5D architecture and has a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels although the actual screen size measures 5 inches, meaning the device has a PPI of 294.
Under the hood, the Class is powered by a Qualcomm-made Snapdragon 410 chipset clubbed with a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable in-built storage. For taking photos, the phone is equipped with a 13-megapixel sensor and LED flash at the rear side while the front is adorned by an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
LG says the smartphone will be available in Gold, Silver, and Blue Black color flavors in Korea but didn’t comment on the product’s international availability.
